FINDING CORPORATE & STRATEGIC BUYERS

For the privately-held company with annual revenues less than $75 million, it is difficult to be "discovered" by corporate and strategic buyers. 

Most of the time you are entertaining telephone callers who are either unqualified individuals looking for a company to buy or business brokers who purport to "have a buyer that wants a company exactly like yours".

Corporate and Strategic Buyers are professional buyers that have focused on one or more industries and have developed a specific set of criteria and guidelines for their acquisitions or investments.

For privately-held companies with annual revenues of $7-$75+ million, these buyers virtually always rely on referrals from private-investment bankers.

    Review its financial statements
