Kevin
Johansen serves as the Entrepreneur in Residence at the Davinci
Institute,
an entrepreneurial think tank.
Mr.
Johansen is considered one of Colorado's pre-eminent resources on
business ecology. In this
capacity he works with select companies and organizations whose
purpose it is to improve the overall health of the business
environment.
Mr.
Johansen’s particular focus is on companies providing services that
involve business growth and start ups.
He is a serial CEO of technology companies and works as a
mentor and coach for “C-level‘
technology professionals.
Mr.
Johansen's early business experience was in distribution with Fortune
500 companies including Cargill
and Target
Stores.
Quoted
and profiled in periodicals like Fast Company and The Industry
Standard, he has been teaching and writing about leadership,
organizational development and market place development strategies for
over 20 years. He is
particularly respected for his ability to build high performing teams.
While
CEO of “4Work.com”,
which he founded in 1993, Mr. Johansen was named the #4
'Hero of the Marketplace'
by
Interbiznet.com, the pre-eminent online recruiting industry analysis
site.
Prior
to his involvement with the recruiting industry he founded and managed
a 75+ person world wide travel brokerage.
His companies grossed over $20M their first full year of
business.
Additionally,
Mr. Johansen was also influential in helping airlines mature their
relationships with their frequent flyers. He
also assisted in the formation of the State
Attorney General's Association,
which was organized to help airlines develop more consistency in their
marketing initiatives across boarders.
Mr.
Johansen also worked as the 'start up' COO for the Access
Foundation,
an international organization whose focus is the design of currency
transaction networks. He is a Board member for a number of businesses and organizations and a frequent speaker for technology, entrepreneurial and venture capital organizations. Most recently he was the MC for the Digital ID World Conference. He is also the host of the Startup Junkie Underground.
